We installed this light very easily to the top of our existing flagpole. The unit comes pre-charged, install it in the morning and it automatically illuminates at dusk as long as there is no other artificial lights shining near the flagpole at night. It is bright and lights the flag up appropriately at night. We have not had any problems thus far with the light and we were surprised at how bright it is.
